Trapezi Festival has the unusual problem of having more audience than it can handle. While the financial crisis has led to budget decreases the audience has not diminished, and each year 80,000 - 100,000 people visit Trapezi, enjoying a programme of 30-40 companies. It is also, after twenty years of the festival, a knowleadgable audience, one that has been 'living with circus', and accordingly the Trapezi organisers try to bring new shows, not more than 18 months past premiere.
